The first hearing aid with Auracast, live since 2023. Joins a broadcast directly with no neck-worn streamer.
Hearing aids and Auracast
Auracast matters most to the people who have waited longest for it. 15 of the 20 hearing aids we track join a broadcast today, and the rest are a firmware update away. Here is where every brand stands.
We describe features and compatibility, not clinical outcomes. Hearing aids are regulated medical devices; your audiologist is the person to ask about fit and suitability.

What to ask your audiologist
- Is Auracast switched on, or ready? Phonak Infinio and Signia MaX are sold as ready; the firmware is not out. Ask for a date in writing.
- Which app is the assistant? On an iPhone the maker's app is the only way to pick a broadcast. Widex and Signia have no iPhone path yet.
- Does my style have it? Custom in-the-canal styles are often excluded (ReSound Savi CIC, Starkey CIC and IIC).
- Does it keep the telecoil? For the next few years most venues will offer a loop and Auracast. Keep both.
- Can I try it in a venue before I decide? Sydney Opera House, City Recital Hall and QPAC all have live broadcasts you can test on a trial fitting.
If your aids have a telecoil but no Auracast
A receiver with a neckloop turns the broadcast into a signal your telecoil can hear. Venues lend them; the Avantree AuraCoil puts one in your pocket.
